Before and After School
The Center provides a school-age program designed specifically for the needs of 5-12 year olds. These school savvy children need supervision and developmentally appropriate activities before and after school.

Examples of lessons for school-age children, organized in yearly increments may include the following activities:

Library/language - Read books, journal writing and listen to CDs on a topic
Music - Listen to classical music, make musical instruments
Drama - Write and put on a skit with costumes
Dance - Learn dance and movement
Technology - Computer use, building simple machines
Math - Measure and collect information and document findings
Cooking/Nutrition - Learn to plan, shop for, cook and serve a meal
Outdoor/Physical/Sports - Play on a variety of equipment, learn a new game, organize a game, scooters, bikes, jump rope
Art/Culture/Crafts - Arts and crafts around a theme
Science - Conduct an experiment, observe and document results
Mental health/Safety - Learn to participate/work as a member of a team on a expedition

School Holidays
The Center provides a School Holiday program that is engaging and fun. The program is offered during winter and spring breaks and selected school holidays (e.g., Martin Luther King Day, MPS Banking Days, Teachers? Convention and Conference Days).

Responding to children and their families' desire for a summer camp-like program, the Staff at the Center developed KID-Quest. Activities and experiences developed for school-aged children have beeb expanded to serve pre-school children.
